September 30, 2025 — One of Marist’s most distinctive features is its focus on career preparation and student success. By delivering a broad-based education that blends Liberal Arts and pre-professional studies with a heavy emphasis on learning by doing, students are prepared not only for their first job after graduation but for their entire career.

From Campus to Career is a new series that will highlight Marist’s work in this area — and the dynamic careers it launches. It will chronicle students on their internships, spotlight alumni’s exciting career journeys, and showcase how academic advisors and Career Services mentor and support students’ professional aspirations.

“Marist’s Center for Career Services sits at the center of a thriving career readiness ecosystem,” said Dr. Carol Rinke, Assistant Provost for Student Success. “Marist’s faculty, staff, alumni, and the local community work together to prepare our students to translate their Marist education into meaningful workplace contributions.”

First Up: Launching STEM Careers
Marist is expanding its collaboration with the Hudson Valley’s largest healthcare system, giving students access to hands-on training as physician assistants, physical therapists, medical lab techs, and pretty soon even cybersecurity analysts. Keep an eye out for the first installment of our series, From Campus to Career, where in an upcoming issue we will  explore how state-of-the-art facilities at Nuvance Health, part of Northwell Health, serve as an extension of the Marist classroom for students across a number of fields of study.
