October 6, 2026 – Homecoming & Reunion Weekend returns to Marist University October 23–25, bringing alumni, families, and friends back to campus for three days of traditions, celebrations, and opportunities to reconnect.

This year’s weekend will feature several milestone events, including the first induction class of the Marist Athletics Hall of Fame, a celebration honoring Lee Miringoff’s more than 50 years at Marist, and special gatherings for reunion classes ending in 1 and 6.

Homecoming weekend will open a new chapter in Marist Athletics history with the inaugural Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Friday, October 23.

The first class recognizes six individuals whose accomplishments have helped shape the legacy of Red Fox Athletics: Terrence Fede '13, Rachele Fitz '10, Jack Gartland, Brian Giorgis, Rik Smits '88, and Chris Tracz '05.

Together, the group represents generations of Marist Athletics, from championship-winning coaches and record-setting student-athletes to alumni who competed at the highest levels of professional sports and supporters whose leadership helped strengthen Marist programs.

The celebration begins with cocktails at 6 p.m., followed by the induction ceremony at 7 p.m. in the McCann Center.

Another familiar Marist name will take center stage Saturday morning as the University celebrates more than five decades of Lee Miringoff’s impact on Marist, generations of students, and the field of public opinion research.

Miringoff’s career at Marist has included his longtime leadership of the Marist Institute for Public Opinion and the Marist Poll, helping establish Marist as a nationally recognized name in public opinion research while creating distinctive learning opportunities for students.

“Lee’s impact on Marist extends far beyond the success and national reputation of the Marist Poll,” said Director of the Marist Poll Barbara Carvalho '79. “For more than 50 years, he has been a teacher, mentor, colleague, and friend to generations of students and alumni. So many people have a Lee story, and Homecoming is the perfect opportunity to bring them together and celebrate what he has meant to Marist.”

Alumni, colleagues, friends, and members of the Marist community are invited to share stories about Lee at this link and to attend a special brunch celebrating his career and legacy. Doors open at 10 a.m., with the program beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the Murray Student Center.

Reunion Years Return Home

Homecoming will also bring generations of Red Foxes together as alumni celebrating milestone reunion years return to campus.

This year, special celebrations are planned for classes ending in 1 and 6, with Saturday evening events designed to bring together alumni across generations.

“Reunions are such an important part of Homecoming because they give alumni a chance to reconnect not only with Marist, but with the people who made their experience here so meaningful,” said Amy Woods '97, Executive Director of Alumni Relations. “Whether it’s been five years or 50, there’s something special about coming back to campus, seeing old friends, and realizing that those Marist connections are still very much a part of your life.”

The Reynard Reunion will welcome the Classes of 1981, 1976, and 1971, along with Heritage Classes from 1947–66, in the Murray Student Center. For the Class of 1976, this year’s Homecoming marks an especially meaningful milestone as classmates celebrate their 50th Reunion.

The Class of 1986 will mark its 40th Reunion at the historic Cornell Boathouse, while the Den & Now Reunion will bring together the Classes of 1991, 1996, 2001, and 2006 at the Dyson Center.

Recent alumni will gather at Frankie Fest at Mahoney’s Irish Pub, celebrating the Classes of 2011, 2016, and 2021, along with other recent graduates. Alumni from the Classes of 2011, 2016, 2021, and all recent graduates will gather for Frankie Fest at Mahoney’s Irish Pub in downtown Poughkeepsie.

These signature celebrations are part of a full Homecoming & Reunion Weekend schedule that includes the Alumni Tailgate Picnic, Marist football, campus tours, affinity gatherings, Marist Theatre performances, athletics events, and more.
