Poughkeepsie, NY—Marist College has been named among the most popular study abroad programs according to The Princeton Review in the newest edition of its college guide, The Best 384 Colleges.  Marist was ranked 8th in the Study Abroad category and 20th for Most Beautiful Campus.

“Marist is pleased to be included again in The 384 Best Colleges. The designation we’ve received this year highlights how Marist offers the best of both worlds: exceptional study abroad opportunities coupled with a magnificent campus,” said Sean Kaylor, Vice President for Enrollment, Marketing and Communication.

“Marist is known for helping its students become global citizens by providing a wide array of study abroad experiences. We’ve been ranked as a top school nationally for long-term study abroad in the Open Doors Report sponsored by the U.S. State Department,” Kaylor explained. “Our campus in Florence, Italy and our new Dublin freshman experience underscore our belief that expanding horizons through study abroad is a vital part of the college experience. At the same time, Marist’s beautiful campus on the banks of the Hudson River is a wonderful home base for our students while providing easy access by train to New York City.”

One of The Princeton Review’s most popular guides, The Best 384 Colleges rankings are based on surveys of 138,000 students at 384 top colleges; the guide includes a wide representation of institutions by region, size, selectivity, and character. Published annually since 1992, the book has detailed profiles of the colleges and rating scores in eight categories, as well as ranking lists of top 20 schools in 62 categories.
