Your Path to Becoming a CPA
The Master of Science in Professional Accountancy (MSPAccy) at Marist provides our students the opportunity to obtain the required credit hours to become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Composed of both in-class and online classes, this innovative graduate degree program is designed to prepare you for successful a career as a licensed CPA in a growing accounting industry.
Top-Tier Accounting Coursework
Marist’s MS in Professional Accountancy is a 30-credit program that includes courses both on-ground and online. Students are given the opportunity to experience our riverfront campus and extensive campus resources, while also enjoying the flexibility of online coursework. Students in the program take state-of-the-art classes designed to prepare them for all elements of the industry, including:

In the Marist MS in Professional Accountancy program, we’re always looking ahead to your future. All credits that you take throughout the degree go toward the 150 required credit hours to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Accelerated Professional Accountancy Program
Three Start Options
With three different start options of Fall, Spring, and a further accelerated Summer start, there is no wrong time to enroll in Marist’s MS in Professional Accountancy program.

With Marist’s accelerated MS in Professional Accountancy, most graduates complete the program in less than a year, and many graduate in as little as seven months.
Summer Completion
Students admitted during the summer may complete 60% of their degree by the fall. This timing is designed specifically for accounting firms that typically hire new graduates during the fall.
Strategic Summer Start Option
Students admitted during the summer may complete up to 18 credits and 60% of their degree requirements by the fall. This timing is designed specifically for the accounting industry, as accounting firms typically hire new graduates during early September to begin their careers or internships. This option is perfect for ambitious students who are ready to embark on their journey to becoming a Certified Public Accountant and quickly seek employment at an accounting firm.
