Applying for Financial Aid as a Transfer Student
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (school code 002765) serves as the official application for institutional need-based aid and federal aid. If you are an International undergraduate student (non-US citizen), only a CSS Profile (school code 2400) is required to be considered for need-based institutional aid. If you are a resident of NYS, please file your TAP application. Please visit the Applying for Financial Aid website for priority deadlines.
Transfer Student Financial Aid Timeframe
Timeline for Spring Transfer Applicants
- October – December: Update Federal 2026-27 FAFSA School Code to 002765 and add 2400 to CSS Profile (international students only) for Spring transfer applications.
- October (Rolling Notification): Award notifications emailed on a rolling basis to Spring admitted students with completed FAFSAs
Once deposit is made: Students who have received a financial aid package should log on to myMarist to view and complete additional requirements.
* Transfer students' deposit deadline is typically two to three weeks after acceptance

- October: Complete the 2026-27 FAFSA using Marist’s School Code: 002765
