The 12th Annual Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition

April 5, 2024 

In-Person on Marist College Campus

Information for the 2024 MHRBPC will be updated as it becomes available. 

The 12th annual Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition will be hosted at Marist College, on Friday, April 5, 2024. The top two winning teams in each track at the regional competitions will have the opportunity to compete in the NYBPC finals, which are judged in three rounds, first round asynchronous judging, then in-person for the 2nd round and 3rd round in the New York Business Plan Competition Finals on April 25, 2024.

 If you are a student team member or advisor with questions, please contact Roberta Diggins at or Cynthia Worrad at for more information. Students can get matched up with a mentor and receive valuable support from a knowledgeable entrepreneur and the MHRBPC team.

  • Safety, Power & Mobility: Defense, Energy, First Responder, Infrastructure, Mobility & Transportation 
  • Health & Wellbeing: Health IT, Life Science, Medtech, Wellbeing
  • Food and AgTech: Agricultural Technology, Food Products, Food Service
  • Learn, Work & Play: Education, Entertainment, Gaming, Media, Art
  • Products & Hardware: general track for ventures with business models that may not apply to other tracks

In addition to basic contact information, and an executive summary (needed when applying to determine eligibility to compete),  you will need a pitch video and presentation slide deck submitted for judges to review before the April 5, 2024 event.  Deadlines for all materials will be posted on the website.

·       Student Applications for the MHRBPC will open in January 2024.

·       Requirements:  To compete in the Mid-Hudson Regional Business Plan Competition, student teams must submit submissions by the required deadline and be prepared to present live and answer judges Q & A on April 5, 2024. In preparation for your pitch, we have mentors, with industry experience, who have volunteered and are available to help you “Perfect Your Pitch.”  For more information, please or


  • Preliminary Judging:  Judges will review submissions prior to the final competition.

  • Competition Day:  April 5, 2024, MHRBP Competition will be held at Marist College, Student Center. (Details will follow)

    • Be prepared to present live and answer judges Q & A.

  • State Competition:  The top two teams from each track will move onto the statewide finals. For the state final calendar, click here.

  • Students who move onto Round Two of the state finals are required to attend the in-person event in order to compete.

  • Attending the NYBPC finals is a great way to advance your business, meet people, check out the competition, and continue to build your venture. Everyone is welcome to attend and take advantage of the Startup Showcase, workshops, mentoring and much more.
