MBA Program
Marist's AACSB Accredited MBA Program
The benefits of earning your MBA from an AACSB Accredited College
There are few decisions in your life that could have as much of an impact on your future as choosing which school to earn your MBA degree from. For those considering an MBA, you already know its value and why it's so important to choose the right school, but you may not know exactly what to look for to ensure you're receiving the best education possible. Might we suggest that as you begin your search, you start with five little letters we proudly boast at Marist College of New York: A-A-C-S-B.
AACSB, or the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, was founded to accredit schools of business and set benchmarks for business school quality. The rigorous qualification standards truly identify only the best programs throughout the world, which is why at the time of this writing, only 5% of the world's 13,000 business programs have earned an AACSB Accreditation. It is a remarkable honor and one we here at Marist College have enjoyed for over 15 years.
In order to earn an AACSB Accreditation, schools must first become a member of AACSB International and offer degree-granting programs in business or membership. Once this has been accomplished, AACSB then considers each applicant and their potential to actually receive an accreditation. After determining whether or not an institution is capable of receiving an AACSB Accreditation, AACSB mentors, committees and staff develop a Standards Alignment Plan, which a candidate school must adhere to in order to gain accreditation. When all of this is complete, the AACSB Board of Directors and review committees meet to determine whether or not to award accreditation.
In 1998, Marist College launched New York State's first-ever 100% online, AACSB Accredited MBA program. This online MBA program was also one of the first in the nation to be offered, and quickly changed the landscape for quality when it came to online MBA programs. It is for this reason that Marist's online MBA program is consistently ranked as one of the top business programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report's "Best Online Education Programs."
Just as having an AACSB Accreditation sets MBA programs apart, earning your MBA degree from the Marist College of New York's AACSB Accredited MBA Program will set you apart as you look to further your career. Employers already value MBA degrees from top programs, but earning your MBA from Marist's AACSB Accredited MBA Program is a surefire way to attract the attention of any business, in any industry. It's a perfect way to show companies that not only do you have what it takes to earn your MBA but that you can succeed in a top-level program that has been recognized for quality by the highest accreditation program in the world.
