School of Professional Programs
Programs of Study
The School of Professional Programs offers an undergraduate degree in Professional Studies. This degree has been designed to help adult students leverage their previous college credit and life work experience to accelerate time to degree completion.
The Professional Studies major is accessible in a number of formats such as 100% online, in the classroom, or a combination of both. Students can focus on career-related skills though the following concentrations:
- Management Studies
- Organizational Communication
- Organizational Leadership
- Information Technology Management
- Behavioral Studies
In addition to the above concentrations, students can customize areas of study from any Marist discipline to meet their goals and interests.
We offer credit bearing certificates that can both stand alone or satisfy degree requirements.
Offered in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Marist offers a program to prepare individuals to certify for SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP™)
- SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP™).
The Marist Center for Lifetime Study provides opportunities for intellectual and cultural exploration and development for men and women of retirement age. CLS furnishes a rewarding experience of learning and fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere without exams or grades. Currently 650 members enjoy courses, trips, and social events held in various locations.
