Manage Your Alerts
Accessing Your Account to Manage Your Alert Contact Preferences
To manage and edit your MaristAlerts contact preferences, access your MaristAlerts account.
All students, faculty, and staff are automatically enrolled in the MaristAlerts system, including their Marist email address and cell phone number. This means that, by default, the Marist email and cell phone number will be the only contact methods used by MaristAlerts in the event of an emergency.
It is strongly recommended that each community member login to their MaristAlerts account to confirm that their contact information is correct. They can make changes to their emergency alert preferences, including adding cell phone numbers and email addresses, at any time via your MaristAlerts account. These alternate (optional) contact methods include additional phone numbers and email addresses.
Anyone wishing to opt-out of text message and phone call emergency alerts can do so via their MaristAlerts account.
Emergency Alert Contact Sequence:
- Marist Email address
- SMS (Text message)
- MaristSafe (push notification)
- Phone call to Cell Phone
- Personal Email address
- Alternate Phone call
Remember, you can add and remove the contact preferences that MaristAlerts will utilize to reach you in the event of an emergency situation. We suggest including at least three (3); ex: Marist email, cell phone (phone call), and SMS (Text message).
More Information
As with all methods of emergency communication, it is important to remember that MaristAlerts will be just one of the many ways that the University communicates to the community when an emergency occurs.
