Sarah DeLucca
Lecturer of Crime and Justice Studies
Bio
Dr. DeLucca is a Lecturer of Crime and Justice Studies and a proud alumna of Marist. She holds a doctorate in criminal justice and a master’s in criminal justice with a specialization in criminology and deviance. Her research relates to the intersection of criminal justice and public health with a specific focus on substance use treatment access and initiation for youth under community supervision. She has presented at numerous conferences and has several publications related to treatment initiation for juveniles on probation. Her other research interests include reentry and rehabilitation, social justice, and corrections. As an educator, she aims to motivate students to develop critical thinking skills and promotes an interactive learning experience while simultaneously fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. She is deeply passionate about mentoring students in and out of the classroom and takes great pride in helping students prepare themselves for graduate school or their respective careers following graduation.
