Complete Your Graduate Degree Online and On-ground

The summer Hybrid MS in Education program is designed for students looking for both an on-ground and online learning experience. The Marist graduate program starts over the summer with a 3-day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) residency (usually in July) at the main campus in Poughkeepsie, NY. Students then complete the remainder of their coursework for the summer online. During the fall and spring semesters, all courses are offered online, giving you a flexible schedule allowing you to work and study at the same time.

Two different tracks personalize the program to meet your teaching needs. The Childhood Education track is designed for students who have initial certification in grades 1-6. The Adolescent Education second track is designed for students who have initial certification in grades 7-12, and also completes academic requirements for you to earn initial and professional certification for grades 5-6 Middle School Extension.

This is a great program for students who work in private schools, at non-profit organizations and also standardized testing agencies.

The Professional Education Unit at Marist College is accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). This accreditation covers initial teacher preparation programs and advanced educator preparation programs at Marist College located in Poughkeepsie, New York. However, the accreditation does not include individual education courses that the institution offers to P-12 educators for professional development, re-licensure, or other purposes.
