MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling

The Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling provides the academic preparation necessary to become a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York State.

  • Faculty are experienced, doctoral-level NY State Licensed Psychologists
  • Participant in the New York Mental Health Counselor Association (NYMHCA) and its local chapter, the Hudson Valley Interest Group (HVIG)

The best experience I had as a student was participating in a research study with my classmates and program director Peter del Rosario and then presenting this research to my future peers at the NYMHCA convention in Albany. This experience further demonstrated the Marist faculty's dedication to the field and the MHC program specifically. 


MA in Educational Psychology

Marist's MA in Education Psychology is designed for working educators who already hold initial teacher certification. Successful completion of this degree leads to New York State Professional Teaching Certification.

  • NCATE-Accredited
  • Offers two tracks: Professional Certification in Childhood Education (grades 1-6) and Professional Certification in Adolescent Education (grades 7-12)

MA in School Psychology

The Master of Arts in School Psychology helps to prepare New York State Certified School Psychologists who are credentialed to work in K-12 schools.

  • Approved by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP)
  • Evening classes in your first year allow you to work and study during the daytime
