Marisa M. Moore, PhD (she/her/ella)
Director, Counseling Services
Bio
Dr. Moore is an intersectional feminist Counseling Psychologist serving as Director of Counseling Services and adjunct instructor for the MA Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Marist. She has worked as a summer camp bereavement counselor for children through Calvary Hospital in the Bronx and with adolescents in juvenile detention centers across Oklahoma. Her college counseling experiences include Oklahoma State, University of Maryland, and University of Pittsburgh. A Bronx-raised Latina, Marisa’s identities and experiences inform her work and commitment to social justice. She tries to practice what she preaches with yoga, setting healthy boundaries, and enjoying new foods as self-care.
