Tam Cacchione, LMSW (she/they)
Clinical Counselor
Bio
Tam is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of New York and a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts. Most recently, they served as a Victim Advocate at Family Services, with a concentration on college campuses including Marist, Dutchess Community College, Vassar, Culinary Institute of America, and Bard. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, they discovered and fell in love with the Hudson Valley while a student at Vassar College. Tam has also worked as a clinician for survivors of various victimizations at Safe Horizons and as a social worker/theater artist at the Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, both in Brooklyn. Tam has also worked as an LCSW in Boston, at Riverside Community Care. Tam utilizes a strength-based approach in order to empower clients. Tam has a particular interest in supporting survivors of trauma, the intersectionality of various aspects of a client’s identity and how those impact the way stressors and successes may be navigated, and the merits of social justice as a tool for healing. Tam practices self-care by going for long walks, attending live theatrical productions, and learning about local flora and fauna to plant in their garden.
