France, French Riviera - CEA: Riviera - Multiple Programs

Practice your French skills on the coast of southern France while exploring the culture of the French Riviera.

Location

The French Riviera is a beautiful cultural center located in southern France near the border of Italy. Antibes is on the Mediterranean Sea and is filled with beach resorts. From the national parks, to the Picasso museum markets, the French Riviera is the place to see.

Institution

The SKEMA Business School was founded in 1990 under the name, Euro American Institute. In 2009, the institute merged with the ESC Lille School of Management and became what is now known as SKEMA. Centre International d’Antibes was founded in 1985 and has more than 5,000 students a year.

Academics

Explore a wide range of topics while settling in on the coast of France in a mediterranean area. Students will engage in the lifestyles of the French to learn the culture of the beautiful city and country. Students will attend class alongside local and other international students for an integrated experience in an innovative setting. Cultural education excursions will be provided for students.

Students will enroll in 12-16 credits a semester in a range of subjects. Courses are taught in English. Students are able to apply for a non-credit bearing internship at the Cannes Film Festival.

Student Life & Co-curricular

A variety of local cultural activities are offered for students to partake in such as clubs, language exchanges, sports, and cooking classes. Volunteer opportunities are available for students who desire to give back to the community. CEA offers excursions to places such as Monaco/Monte Carlo, Grasse, Cannes, Biot, Vallauris, Provence, and St. Tropez.

Housing

Students have the option of living in

  • Apartment: In the apartment option, there can be 2-5 people per an apartment and 1-3 people per a room. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, bathroom, bed linen, internet, washer, and heating.
  • Homestay: two students per room, a full kitchen, bathroom, bed linen, internet, washer, heating, and breakfast every day.

Program Cost

The program fee includes tuition (12-16 credits), accommodation, program orientation, scheduled academic excursions, and international health insurance. The program cost is based on full-time semester tuition and on-campus Marist housing. Students receive a detailed cost sheet once they have been admitted to the Marist Abroad Program.

Admission Criteria

  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application
  • Sophomore standing or higher at the time of study abroad
  • Academic Advisor approval of program and coursework
