Marist Abroad: How to Apply

Semester Abroad Applications

(Fall, Spring, and Academic Year Abroad)

Notes

  • All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50, and sophomore, junior or senior status in order to participate in Marist Abroad. Higher GPAs are required for most programs. The minimum GPA requirement for each program can be higher, and is noted next to each listing on the Marist Abroad Semester/Academic Year Programs page.
  • Participants must maintain minimum GPA requirements up to departure.
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that all items on the Marist Abroad application are completed and received by the Marist Abroad office. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • Conditional admission to programs is on a space-available basis, and students are encouraged to apply early to help secure a spot on the program. If the number of completed applications exceeds the capacity of the program before the deadline the application will be closed, we will contact affected students to discuss their second-choice program or their placement on a waitlist.
  • You are especially encouraged to request recommendations and transcript(s) in the semester prior to the deadline.
  • Visit the Semester/Academic Year Programs page for additional information, including program descriptions, lists of courses typically offered, GPA and admission requirements, student life information, etc.
  • You must apply and be accepted to participate with Marist Abroad before completing the abroad institution's application.
