France, Paris - CEA: Paris - Multiple Programs (Internship Opportunities Available)

Study in a French city filled with culture and art; and soon you will be saying, “c’est la vie”. Enrich yourself with the local French culture in the capital of the country through the arts and events held throughout the city.

Location

Paris, the capital of France, is a city of fashion, cuisine, museums, and adventure. From a trip the Eiffel Tower to a stroll amongst the art in the Louvre, Paris is a destination of cultural experience and history. The city is full of architectural designs spanning across medieval times to the most modern period.

Institution

CEA Paris was founded in 2005 and emphasizes the rich culture of what is Paris. CEA partners with several schools in city to offer a wide range of courses for students. The Université de Paris IV, founded in 1253, is a university dedicated to teaching French language and culture. Institut Catholique de Paris was founded in 1875 and is a private French university. The Novancia Business School is one of France’s top 20 undergraduate business schools and was founded in 1863.

Academics

Students will enroll in 15-18 credits a semester in a wide range of course offerings. Course requirements differ depending on the CEA Program, students can study liberal arts, social sciences, international business, communication, French and more. With small class sizes, students are able to have a closer relationship with their teacher and classmates. Internships are available for credit in a range of fields such as architecture, journalism, and theatre.

Student Life & Co-Curricular

A variety of local cultural activities are offered for students to partake in such as clubs, language exchanges, sports, and cooking classes. Volunteer opportunities are available for students who desire to give back to the community. CEA offers excursions to places such as Belgium, Avignon, Strasbourg, Germany, and Reims.

Housing

Students studying in Paris will be housed in the Marist apartments.  In the apartments, there can be 2-8 people per an apartment and 1-3 people per a room. Each apartment comes with a full kitchen, bathroom, bed linen, internet, washer, and heating.

Program Cost

The program fee includes tuition (12-16 credits), accommodation, program orientation, scheduled academic excursions, and international health insurance. The program cost is based on full-time semester tuition and on-campus Marist housing. Students receive a detailed cost sheet once they have been admitted to the Marist Abroad Program.

Admission Criteria

  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the time of application
  • Sophomore standing or higher at the time of study abroad
  • Academic Advisor approval of program and coursework
