September 9, 2025 — Marist University invites prospective students and their families to experience the energy and opportunities of campus life at our 2025 Fall Open Houses. Whether students are just beginning their college search or narrowing down their choices, these events provide an engaging and immersive glimpse into what makes Marist a place where students thrive.
What to Expect
Choose from three sessions, each beginning with an admission and academic overview presentation. Here, students and their families can learn about our academic programs, admissions process, and the many ways Marist supports student success. They can also explore the Student Experience Fair, featuring representatives from student clubs, organizations, and campus offices. It’s a great opportunity to discover how students get involved and build community.

Attendees can also take a guided residence hall tour to see where students live and form lifelong friendships. Throughout the day, attend topical breakout sessions on study abroad, career services, student activities, academic pathways, and more—designed to help students envision a future at Marist.
“The best part about Marist is the people. There’s no better way to experience the Marist community than by visiting campus,” said Kent Rinehart, Dean of Admissions. “The Fall Open Houses give students the opportunity to learn about the distinctive, transformative education offered at Marist. If you can’t attend one of our Fall Open Houses, we offer a variety of visit opportunities throughout the season — including weekends!”

During Open House events, Marist faculty, staff, and Student Ambassadors will be on hand to welcome and support prospective students and their families. Student Ambassadors are available throughout the day to answer questions, lead campus tours, and share their personal experiences of life as a Red Fox.
"We can't wait for prospective students to experience this indescribable feeling for the first time," said Isabella Nocera '26, a student ambassador and Psychology major. "Stepping onto campus and looking out over the Hudson River gives me a warm feeling and a true sense of home."
“I’ve watched this University become my home away from home,” said Alyssa Terralavoro ’26, a student ambassador and dual major in Psychology and Crime and Justice Studies, with a minor in Social Work. “There truly is no place I’d rather spend my time than at Marist. I’ve had ample academic and professional opportunities and made lifelong friends.”
