By Train
Metro-North Commuter Railroad connects New York City's Grand Central Terminal with Poughkeepsie. For timetables, call 800-METRO-INFO or visit their website. (Approximately $23) Poughkeepsie is also served by Amtrak. For schedules, call 800.872.7245. (Approximately $35)
Taxi service is available from the Poughkeepsie train station to campus (approximately $5).

By Air
There are three major airports in the New York City area: John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) is located on Long Island about 12 miles (20km) from Manhattan. LaGuardia Airport is located on Long Island, about 8 miles (15km) from New York City, and Newark International is in New Jersey about 12 miles (20 km) across the Hudson River to the west of New York City. In addition, Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, Westchester County Airport in White Plains, and Albany Airport in Albany are all within a two-hour drive of Marist College.
New York Airport Shuttle Service - The shuttle arrives and departs in front of Grand Central Train Station, where Metro-North trains depart for and arrive from Poughkeepsie. New York Airport Shuttles run to Grand Central Train Station from JFK and LaGuardia airports between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. approximately every 15-30 minutes. Shuttles run seven days per week, 365 days per year. The bus stops are located directly outside the baggage claim area at both airports. The fee is $15.00 from JFK and $12.00 from LaGuardia. Coach USA Airport Express - Arriving at Newark Liberty Airport (New Jersey) can also travel to Grand Central Railway Station via Coach USA Olympia Bus Service. It provides transportation every 15-30 minutes between NewarkLibertyAirport and Manhattan -365 days a year. Buses run from 4:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. The fare is $14.00 from Newark Liberty Airport to Grand Central Station. Note: When checking the website, Newark Liberty Airport is listed as being in New YorkState. Call them toll-free at 1(877)8- NEWARK for additional information.

From Massachusetts and points Northeast:
Mass Turnpike (I-90) West to Taconic State Parkway South (Exit B2).
Taconic State Parkway to the Red Hook/Pine Plains exit (Route199)
Turn right off the exit onto Route 199 West toward Red Hook and Rhinebeck.
Follow Route 199 West for about 4 miles, until you intersect with Route 308 West. At the stoplight, fork left onto Route 308 West to Rhinebeck.
Follow Route 308 West to Route 9 (around 6 miles). Take Route 9 South about 15 miles. Marist College will be on your right.
From Connecticut and points Southeast:
Interstate 84 West to Route 9 North (Exit 13N).
Follow Route 9 North approximately 13 miles.
Marist College is located on the left side of Route 9. Enter the campus at the main entrance across the street from Rhinebeck Savings Bank.
From all points West of the Hudson River:
New YorkState Thruway (I-87) to Exit 18 (New Paltz).
Take Route 299 East to Route 9W South towards the Mid Hudson bridge. Toll Bridge $1.50.
Make the first right off the bridge and immediately follow signs for Route 9 North, Hyde Park. MaristCollege is located 1-1.5 miles North on the left.
Enter the Marist College campus at the main entrance across from the Rhinebeck Savings Bank.
From New York City and Long Island:
Take the Hutchinson River Parkway to 684 North to I-84 West. Take I-84 West to exit 13 North (Route 9). MaristCollege is located approximately 13 miles on the left side of Route 9. Make a left at the main entrance across from the Rhinebeck Savings Bank.
Parking is located down at the Boat House. You will be able to leave your luggage in the car during your visit to Marist College.
Directions onto Marist College Campus
Visit https://www.marist.edu/about/map for a campus map, which includes directions to Marist. Once you arrive at Marist, you may enter through the North or South Gate entrance located off of Route 9. The Main Entrance is permanently closed to all vehicle traffic with the exception of Emergency response and large delivery vehicles.
The North Gate entrance is located near Fontaine Hall and Gartland Commons and the South Gate entrance is located between the McCann Baseball Field and Tenney Stadium.
From North Gate Entrance: Enter campus and make a left at the Stop sign. Follow the road toward the James Cannavino Library and Hancock Center. Make a right at the end of the road and continue down the hill. You will be going to your left to the Mid-Rise Parking Lot.
From South Gate Entrance: Enter campus and bear right, driving around Tenney Stadium. Follow the road as it leads you around Donnelly Hall and the James Cannavino Library. When facing the Lowell Thomas Communications Center and can go no further, turn left and continue down the hill. You will be going to your left to the Mid-Rise Parking Lot.
