Checklist for Incoming Accepted Transfer Students

Welcome to Marist! This page will guide you through all the steps you need to take to ensure your transfer to Marist is a simple one.

Transfer Credit Evaluation

  • Credit evaluations are sent approximately two weeks after being accepted to the College
  • If you have not received your credit evaluation, please call the Admission Office at 845-575-3226

Marist Email Account and Password

  • Students will need to email the Help Desk at helpdesk@marist.edu to set up their Marist email account. Please email to schedule a Skype appointment. Include the times that you will be available.  You will need to have a webcam and your picture ID available for verification. For more information about this visit: marist.edu/helpdesk
  • We are not permitted to share email or password information with parents.

Transfer Student Orientation Information

  • Student ID cards - photos are taken and cards are given out Opening Day

Health Services 

NOTE: Health forms must be submitted as soon as possible

Class Schedules

NOTE: Schedules can only be created after your final high school transcript is received

  • Schedules are created for new students and are mailed in early August or January, depending on the semester start date
  • After schedules are mailed, more information may be found in myMarist
  • Office of the Registrar is located in Donnelly 203

Housing Assignments and Move-In

NOTE: Housing assignments can only be released after your final high school transcript is received

  • Housing assignments are typically available in early August or January, depending on the semester start date
  • The Housing Office is located in the Student Center Rotunda 387
  • You may call 845-575-3307 for additional information

Financial Aid / Tuition Payments

  • Financial aid packages are mailed to students approximately two weeks after being accepted to the College
  • A package will be sent to the student's Marist e-mail account and a paper copy will be mailed
  • Bills will be sent to all new transfer students in mid-July or December, depending on the semester start date
  • If you have not received a financial aid package or a bill, please contact the Student Financial Services Office with questions
