Schedule for Incoming Traditional Undergraduate Freshmen - Fall 2018
October 1, 2018 | 2019-2020 FAFSA To be considered for financial aid from the College, the state or federal government, a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) must be filed. The form may be completed online at www.fafsa.gov. The preferred deadline for completion of the FAFSA is February 15th. The Marist College school code is 002765 and must be listed on the application. |

Regular Decision Financial Aid Award Letter mailed and available electronically Financial aid award packages will be mailed, provided we have received the FAFSA. The student will also be sent an email to access their financial aid award package online via myMarist. |

Verification Requirements Check the Financial Aid Requirements via myMarist to complete all verification and other pending requirements. Marist College verifies information submitted on the FAFSA for all freshmen students selected for verification by the Department Of Education. Important Announcement! Per the Department of Education, the IRS Data Retrieval Tool is available for use when completing a 2018-2019 FAFSA. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool will allow the filed 2016 federal tax return data to be uploaded directly to the FAFSA. If you haven't already done so, we strongly encourage you to use this tool as it is the fastest, most secure way to provide verified tax information. If you will not use or are not able to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, the Office of Student Financial Services will require copies of the Federal Tax Return Transcripts. Loan Process Begins Your Federal Direct loan will be processed for the amount indicated on your award letter. You are required to complete the MPN and entrance counseling online via your myMarist account under the "Financial Aid Requirements" section. |
