An image of a letter being caught by a fishing pole with the text "Gone Phishing"
What NOT To Do: Phishing & Secure Your Workstation
What TO Do: Phishing & Secure Your Workstation

Why this looks valid
- The email appears to be from Amazon
- Vendors send similar emails when there are account issues
- The link goes to a site that includes details such as an official Amazon logo and similar formatting as the valid Amazon website
Why this is phishing
- The link does not go to Amazon
- Awkward sentence construction, typos, and inconsistent punctuation are good indicators of malicious emails
- Amazon and other shopping websites will never (NEVER!) ask for a person's Social Security Number
