The part-time online master's degree in marketing communication allows students to balance work and school simultaneously. Students take two courses per semester and complete the program in less than two years.

The full-time master's degree in marketing communication program offers an accelerated schedule. Students take four courses per semester and complete the program in less than one year.
Customize Your Path to a Master's Degree in Marketing Communication
The Master's in Marketing Communication curriculum teaches students to create messaging to influence brand behaviors, while developing professional marketing communication campaigns. Students study a variety of topics including public relations, advertising, health communication, social media analytics, branding, social and digital marketing strategies, digital storytelling, and more. They will apply what they learn to real-world projects. Students complete six core courses and four electives in one of three concentrations:
The health communication and strategic leadership concentrations allow students to earn certificates, supported by the online MPA Program.

Wenjing Xie
Dr. Wenjing Xie is an Associate Professor and Director of the Marketing Communication graduate program within the School of Communication and the Arts. Her research revolves around the uses and effects of emerging communication technologies. Her work has been published in various peer-reviewed journals and books.
Amanda Damiano
Dr. Damiano has been the director of the Center for Social Media since May 2019. Her research focuses on the intersection of health communication and risk communication on social media. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations-journalism from Utica University, a master’s degree in media studies from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and a Ph.D. in communication from the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York.
Babette Fasolino
Babette Fasolino specializes in public relations, media studies, conflict resolution, cultural communications, visual design, and digital literacy. She gained professional expertise through experience in radio broadcasting, newspaper production, creative service design, non-profit management, and theater production.
