Additionally, this past year, I was an intern at the Anderson Center for Autism under the lead in Behavioral Analysis.
Additional Activities: I love live music and going to concerts and try to get to as many as possible! In addition, in the warmer months, I love spending time outside!
Advice for the Class of 2029: As a graduating senior, my best advice to the class of 2029 is to make the most of your four years here at Marist, they go by faster than you would think. Be a part of as many different things as you can, and have as much fun as possible!
Lindsey, '25
Hometown: Danbury, CT
Major: Fashion Merchandising
Campus Activities: On campus, I am a tour guide and member of the Admission Student Leadership Board, and a model for senior design students and the Silver Needle Runway. I am also a member of the Kappa Omicron Nu academic honors society. I was part of Measure Magazine for two years, first for Branding and Marketing, then as Assistant to the Editor, and have previously held positions as DEI Director for North Road Communications and President of Fox Pride.
Additional Activities: I completed three internships during my time at Marist with Marist MarComm, Forager by Ecovative, and MadeXHudson, and I participated in the Gucci Program for Scholars. I also held spots for the United States Tap Dance Team until Fall 2022 while completing my academic studies.
Advice for the class of 2029: I’ll let you in on a little secret: most people have no clue of what they are doing when they enter college. I didn’t, you might not, and that’s okay! Lean on your academic advisors, professors, and friends for guidance as you find your way. This is the time to discover yourself, so take a deep breath, and remember that you will be alright.

Ava, '27
Hometown: New Hyde Park, NY
Major: Adolescence Education: Biology
Campus Activities: In addition to serving my second year as an Orientation Leader, I have immersed myself in a variety of activities during my time at Marist. I am a member of Teachers of Tomorrow (TOT), where I collaborate with fellow future educators through regular meetings and events. In this role, I work alongside Marist Counseling Services to plan events and address student concerns surrounding mental health and overall well-being.
I hold several on-campus jobs, including serving as a proofreader for the Academic Learning Center and working as a lab assistant for Marist’s PHAGES Research Program, where I support the General Biology courses and have earned several authorship credits for my contributions as both a student and a TA. Additionally, I am a teaching assistant for Marist Pilates, a popular exercise program on campus. Looking ahead, I am excited to study abroad at Marist’s Florence campus during the upcoming fall semester.

District, a local elementary school district in my hometown, where I enjoy teaching and mentoring young students in many different areas of learning. In my free time I enjoy listening to music, going to the beach, or enjoying the sun!
Advice to the class of 2029: Before I graduated high school, I left my senior class with the quote, “Life is short, smile more.” Enjoying the little things is so important. As you transition into a new, exciting—yet unknown—chapter of your life, it’s important not to be too hard on yourself. Everything always works out! Now, as a rising junior, I encourage you to enjoy what’s happening around you, because it all goes by so fast.

Advice to the class of 2029: I wish I had known that it’s truly okay not to have everything figured out—whether it’s what you want to do or how you plan to get there. It’s important to be thoughtful and consider your future, but the truth is, we won’t always have all the answers. It’s okay to feel

Nicoletta, '28
Hometown: Ridgefield, NJ
Majors: Business Administration and Communications
Campus Activities: I’m involved in various activities on campus that have helped me feel connected and supported throughout my first year at Marist. I’m a PRSSA and Women in Business member, which has given me great opportunities to explore my professional interests. I serve as the PR Director for the Residence Hall Committee for Marian Hall. Through the Department of Spiritual Life and Service, I’m involved in the Compass program, and I volunteer weekly. I am a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma. I also work on the event staff for the Athletics Department and at the front desk of McCann.
Additional Activities: Outside of school, I love to stay active. I play volleyball and softball, and in the winter, I enjoy going snowboarding with my friends. I also love to travel and explore new places whenever I can. In my free time, especially in the summer, I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, and spending time at the beach.
Advice to the Class of 2029: Everyone is figuring things out as they go! It's okay to feel like you don't have everything sorted out. It’s easy to think that everyone else has their life together, but many people feel the same way you do. Don't hesitate to ask for help, and remember that you belong here just as much as anyone else!
Sophia, '28
Hometown: Yonkers, NY
Major: Psychology
Campus Activities: On campus, I'm part of a few different activities. I serve as a member of Champagnat Hall's Residence Hall Council to help plan and prepare monthly events for the building. I'm also a member of the Fox Writing Club, Fox Pride, and the Black Student Union. Additionally, I work with the Admission Office's student ambassadors club to welcome prospective students and become a tour guide in the future!
Additional Activities: Outside of my academic life, I'm also a writer, artist, gamer, and lion documentary enthusiast. I'm currently working on writing a novel, with the first chapter already completed and reviewed by published authors. I love playing the Sims, Fortnite, and Marvel Rivals, and I also love to paint or draw some of the scenes I experience at Marist—from the landscapes of the Hudson River to some of my friends when they want to pose for me.
Advice to the class of 2029: You don't drown by falling into water; you drown by staying there. College is a fresh start, and you have full control over how you utilize that. If you want to have a good experience, you have the power to make that happen! Don't let your fear be the wall between you and your joy. If you're scared to do something even though you know it can be good for you, DO!! IT!! SCARED!!

Additional Activities: In my free time, I enjoy crocheting sweaters for my teddy bear, being crafty of all sorts, cooking and baking, and waterskiing!

Major: Communications with a Public Relations concentration
Campus Activities: I am a part of the Dance Ensemble, and I participated in the Emerging Leaders Program.
Additional Activities: I am an assistant dance teacher at a local dance studio. I also love to cook and bake.
Advice to the class of 2029: A piece of advice I would give is to just go out and talk to people. Everyone is in the same place as you--excited yet nervous. There is no harm in starting a conversation. The worst-case scenario is you never speak to a person again. The best-case scenario is you make a life-long friend to share these experiences with.
Nate, '28
Hometown: Plantsville, CT
Major: Crime and Justice Studies
Campus Activities: I am involved in a variety of clubs and activities that allow me to pursue both my physical interests and develop leadership skills. Additionally, I’m part of the Ultimate Frisbee Team, where I enjoy both the competitive aspect of the sport and the camaraderie with teammates.
Additional Activities: I’ve been snowboarding for fun since I was a kid, and it’s always been one of my favorite hobbies. I also have a passion for weightlifting and am aiming to achieve a national ranking in powerlifting this year. Additionally, I’m excited to be competing in my first bodybuilding show this September in Poughkeepsie, where I’ll be participating in the teens class.
Advice to the class of 2029: Don't be afraid to talk to anyone and everyone; you'll find your people much faster that way. People will naturally gravitate towards you.
Kenneth, '28

Major: Communications
Campus Activities: I’m a football player here at Marist. I’m also a part of the Black Student Athlete Alliance.
Advice to the class of 2029: I was constantly told to use my resources. The moment I decided to listen I started to grow and adapt to this new environment.
Laurel, '27
Hometown: Shelton, CT
Majors: Psychology and Childhood/Special Education
Campus Activities: For clubs, I am involved in Marist Ambassadors, Dance Ensemble, and Teachers of Tomorrow. Some jobs that I have on campus include being a Greeter/Tour Guide for the Admissions Office and being a Peer Mentor alongside being an Orientation Leader. I just came back from studying abroad in Florence, Italy this spring semester! I am planning on doing the 2-week Hawaii attachment abroad program for my major during my junior year spring semester!
Additional Activities: A few of my favorite hobbies include listening to music, going on
runs/walks, watching sunsets down by the river at Marist, going out for coffee runs, and hanging out with my friends.
Advice for the class of 2029: My biggest piece of advice is to be open to new experiences and go out of your comfort zone! Make certain to live in the moment and soak in all the memories - the first year goes by extremely fast and it is important to enjoy every second!
Serafina, '27
Hometown: Edgewater, NJ
Majors: English Adolescent Education and Special Education
Campus Activities: On campus I am a member of the Marist Women's Rugby Team where I play the position of prop. I am also a part of the Teachers of Tomorrow Club and Red Ink Club.
Additional Activities: While at Marist I love going to the gym and going for walks at Fern Tor. You can usually find me sitting outside on my balcony at Foy. Off-campus I am usually at Barnes and Noble in the religion or philosophy section or getting Chipotle! At home I am a swim instructor and nanny. When I am not working I am usually reading with my grandfather and my four cats. At night I am usually eating dinner with my family and watching Jeopardy during the week.
Advice to the class of 2029: My advice for the incoming class is to remember that everyone is in the same boat as you! You may think that you are all alone when you step onto campus but I guarantee you that your future friends are also feeling alone. Find those friends and face this new experience together!
Aiden, '26
Hometown: Manorville, NYMajor: Biology, Adolescent/Special Education
Campus Activities: I am very active here on campus. I am a part of Marist Singers, The Enharmonics, Teachers of Tomorrow, and the Ambassadors as well as working in the Admissions Office as a tour guide. I also have played a few of the intramural sports offered here at Marist!
Additional Activities: Apart from my on-campus activities, I enjoy cooking, going for runs across the Walkway over the Hudson, working out in the McCann center or finding a spot to work in Dyson!
Advice to the class of 2029: The transition into college can be a lot, take advantage of all the resources Marist has to offer and don’t be afraid to ask for help.
Miles, '26
Hometown: Brookfield, CT
Major: Biomedical Sciences
Campus Activities: I am very involved in the Marist Music Department, most notably as a Student Worker in the Music Office and as the Vice President of the Marist Singers Executive Board! I am also a member of The Enharmonics, Marist’s all-voice A capella group. In addition, I play intramural basketball and tutor Organic Chemistry. Most recently, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy! I loved it so much- and I traveled to over 15 countries!
Advice to the class of 2029: The best advice I can give to incoming first years is to do everything you can to live in the moment. Something that I’ve learned rather recently is that throughout your academic career, almost nothing ever truly goes according to plan. You’ll have so many surprises, from new and short-lived friendships, to lifelong memories. I’m sure that throughout your life you’ve heard some version of “enjoy the moment,” and to be honest I find that it’s a cliché for a reason because it’s great advice. Savor every moment and do what makes you happy. You really won’t know the value of that moment until it’s in the past. Cherish your time at Marist, it’ll always be a part of you!
Maddie, '27
Hometown: Freeport, NY
Major: Psychology/Childhood and Special Education
Campus Activities: Since my first semester at Marist, I have been a part of the Marist College Dance Ensemble (MCDE), which is one of my favorite student clubs on campus. It has given me the chance to meet so many wonderful people and has allowed me to bring a very special passion of mine to college. In addition, I work as a Peer Mentor and am involved in our ambassador program in the Admissions Office, where I serve as a Tour Guide. I am also a member of Teachers of Tomorrow, a club for future educators, through which I have participated in various community service events. Most recently, I spent the spring 2025 semester studying abroad in Florence, Italy—an incredible and enriching adventure!
Additional Activities: I love working with kids and have held several jobs back home that have given me valuable experience as a future educator, but I’m always looking for new opportunities to grow. I also enjoy listening to music, going to the beach—especially on the North Fork of Long Island—binge-watching my favorite shows, and spending time with friends and family.
Advice to the class of 2029: Remember to take time for yourself—college is a transitional period, and it’s okay to admit when you’re feeling overwhelmed. You will find your people, and your best friends will come into your life with time. They’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Remind yourself that the best way to support others and make new friends is by showing up for yourself first. Protect your peace, do the things that make you happy, and the right crowd will follow. They want the best version of you to shine—so why shouldn’t you?
Chloe, '27

Additional Activities: I love to read! It is a way to de-stress from school. Also, I like going to the gym with my friends and hanging out with them.
Advice to the class of 2029: Do things that make you uncomfortable! Everyone is scared and nervous—don't hesitate to put yourself out there and try new things. College is a new experience to discover and explore what you're passionate about. You will make friends and find your people, trust me!
Imani, '28
Hometown: Yonkers, NY
Major: Fashion Merchandising
Campus Activities: I actively participate in several campus organizations that foster leadership, creativity, and community engagement. As one of the First-Year Representatives for the Black Student Union (BSU), I help advocate for Black students and assist with event planning. I am also a general Student Programming Council (SPC) member, contributing to organizing campus events. I am choreographing a Latin jazz routine in the Dance Ensemble this semester, combining my passion for dance with creative expression in my Puerto Rican roots. Additionally, I am a member of the Fashion Inc. Club, where I explore my interest in the fashion industry, and The National Society of Leadership and Success, where I engage in leadership development opportunities.
Additional Activities: Most of my off-campus involvement revolves around community service. During the holiday season, my dad plays Santa Claus, and we collect toys and clothing for children. I was practically born into Kiwanis and recently became an official Bronx Shore Kiwanis chapter member. We deliver turkeys to families during Thanksgiving, host barbecues for children and adults in need, and raise funds to support various organizations.
Advice to the class of 2029: College can feel overwhelming at first but don’t get discouraged. It gets easier once you find your rhythm and start feeling more comfortable. Trust yourself, stay true to yourself, and don’t let anyone shake your confidence. Keep your head up—you’ve got this!
Zoë, '27
Hometown: Goshen, NY
Major: Adolescent Spanish Education with a Dual Certification in Special Education
Campus Activities: Since my first semester at Marist, I have been a member of the Marist Theatre Guild and have taken part in multiple shows. I have had the opportunity to be a cast member and also serve on the production team as House Manager. Additionally, this year I have been serving as the Secretary on the Upper and Lower West Cedars’ Residence Hall Council. We have hosted various area-wide and campus-wide events such as Residence Halloween and Fox Fest. I am also a member of Teachers of Tomorrow and have volunteered at various community events hosted by our club, and I am in Marist Singers.
Additional Activities: When I am not at Marist, I enjoy volunteering in my hometown whether that be backstage at a musical, or at a local Girl Scout event. I love working with kids, and spend my summers working at camps or in schools. I also try to find opportunities to sing and act when I can!
Advice to the class of 2029: One piece of advice I received during my first year of college—and something I try to live by every day—is not to be afraid to exist outside of your comfort zone. Embracing the uncomfortable and not shying away from new or unfamiliar situations is one of the best things you can do for yourself in college. Putting yourself out there to meet new people, attend campus events, and join clubs is the perfect way to find your community and grow as a person.
Megan, '27
Hometown: Feeding Hills, MAMajor: Business Administration
Campus Activities: On campus I am involved in the FoxPAW (People for Animal Welfare) Club, Women in Business Club, and Spiritual Life and Service. I also worked as a peer mentor with incoming first-year students last fall semester. Additionally, I play on the women’s club volleyball team, have played on volleyball and soccer intramural teams, and worked with Marist Athletics as a libero tracker for the Women’s D1 Volleyball Team. Finally, this past spring semester, I spent my time furthering my academics while studying abroad in Florence, Italy.
Additional Activities: Off-campus, I love to spend time outside. I love playing volleyball during the summer with my sister and friends, exploring new places, and hanging out with my friends. I also enjoy hiking, going to the beach, cooking, traveling, and listening to music.
Advice to the class of 2029: College is a big adjustment but everything will work itself out. Don’t stress about your roommate situation, meeting new friends, or being away from home. Enjoy every moment, even when it seems hard — everyone is in the same boat and college goes by quickly, so give yourself the chance to enjoy all your college moments.

I also love hanging out with friends, going to McCann for a workout, listening to music, watching sports (Yankees, Knicks, Islanders, and Giants) and grabbing a refresher at Starbucks!
Advice to the class of 2029: Entering college can be intimidating, but Marist has so many resources to help you. My number one tip - get involved!! Join one of Marist's many clubs, go up to people in your residence hall, in class, or in the dining hall and introduce yourself. Go to an RA Program. Just know that everyone at Marist from faculty to staff, and even other students, wants you to succeed. There are so many resources available to you IF you seek them out. You got this!

Isabel, '28
Hometown: New Milford, NJ
Major: Undecided
Campus Activities: I am currently an active member of the Marist Ambassadors Program, which is the extracurricular program that works alongside Admissions, offering tours, greeting incoming families, connecting with prospective students, and organizing detailed informational brochures and packets for those interested in applying to Marist. I am also currently a member of the Marist Marching Band, Pep Band, and Symphonic Band, as I have been playing the clarinet for 10 years! I also partake in weekly meetings of the Red Fox Films Club. This spring semester, I also recently became a member of Marist Club Television, the video and broadcasting club that allows students to write scripts for and tape episodes of their own shows. I actively participate in two out of the four MCTV shows.
Additional Activities: When not actively involved on campus, I like to spend my spare time playing my clarinet, playing video games, listening to music, watching movies, and drawing! What I love most about my hobbies is that I can spend time with my family and friends while enjoying them, whether it's competitively racing against each other in Mario Kart, singing all the lyrics to our favorite songs out loud, or laughing at a movie, I find it just as fun to do these activities together with the ones closest to me.
Advice to the class of 2029: Take college at your own pace. You don't have to follow what everyone else is doing in their college experience, you should make your own experience fun, enriching, and comfortable for you!
Emma, '28
Hometown: Rochelle Park, NJMajor: Psychology
Campus Activities: I am a member of Delta Epsilon Mu (DEM) which is a pre-health fraternity that is focused on professional development and community service. I am a member of the Psychology Club where we learn about various topics related to psychology, engage in networking opportunities, and take part in community service activities. Lastly, I hold two jobs on campus, the first one being a part of the event staff for the Athletic Department and for my second job I work in catering.
Advice for the class of 2029: Something that someone told me right before I left for college was that you don't have to have everything figured out right away. Just focus on what's in front of you and take it one step at a time because everything will work out exactly as it's supposed to.
Taormina, '27
Hometown: New Milford, CT
Majors: Business with concentrations in Finance and Marketing; Global Studies
Campus Activities: I am a member of the Marist Women's Rugby Team where I usually play as winger. I also work at the James A. Cannavino Library as a Student Library Assistant, and I am the Deputy of the SGA Elections Commissions Committee. Other clubs that I am involved in include the Marist’s Deans’ Circle, Best Buddies, and Women in Business. Additionally, I studied abroad in Asia on Marist’s Asia Study Abroad Program through nine different South and Southeast Asian countries for the Fall 2024 semester!
Additional Activities: Outside of my on-campus involvement, I love to go to the McCann Recreation Center to lift heavy. I also love to go for walks and runs outside on the Walkway Over the Hudson or take the short trip to the Poughkeepsie Galleria for a Target run!
Advice for the class of 2029: Be open-minded! It sounds simple, but college is about trying things that feel intimidating or that you’ve never done before — it’s how you learn and grow. I was so nervous to study abroad, but it ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. Put yourself out there. Everything will turn out how it’s meant to, I promise!
Amira, 28
Hometown: Beacon, NYMajor: Fashion Design
Campus Activities: I am an officer in our schools African Student Association, and am a member of our International Student Association, Muslim Student Association, and Asian Student Association!
Additional Activities: Off campus you can most likely find me at the Vassar Students for Justice in Palestine organization, or the Poughkeepsie Salvation Army! I love listening to local bands play as well.
Advice for the class of 2029: Choose yourself! Explore each and every possible thing you are interested in because this is your chance to!
Meghan, '28
Hometown: Commack, NYMajor: Psychology
Campus Activities: I am a part of The Enharmonics which is the co-ed acapella group on campus. To be part of The Enharmonics, I needed to join Marist Singers which can be taken as a club or a class. I am also a part of a small group of girls in a club called Women’s Spirit which meets and talks about what is going on in our lives and how we are doing in faith and spirit. Lastly, my friends are in an intramural soccer team called "we bring the boom again", which I am also a part of with them.
Advice for the class of 2029: Your college journey isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about learning to ask better questions. Embrace the discomfort of not knowing because growth lives there. Grades measure effort, not worth; relationships matter more than résumés; and rest is not a reward, it’s a requirement. The most inspiring people you’ll meet aren’t the ones who never fail but the ones who keep showing up anyway. You belong here.

Adrien, ‘23
Hometown: Woodstock, NY
Majors: Economics, Philosophy
Minors: Cognitive Science, Data Science
Campus Involvement: On campus, I serve as a Resident Assistant in one of the freshmen residence areas. I am also enrolled in the Honors Program and was on the executive board for Marist College Student Programming Council. In addition, I have volunteered through Campus Ministry and been a general member of various on-campus clubs.
Additional Activities: In my spare time, I enjoy playing basketball and engaging in fitness, particularly weight training and calisthenics. When I'm on vacation during the summer, I like to stand-up paddleboard. I also love to play with my golden retriever and bake apple pies! If it's the autumn, you can find me watching the New York Giants, my favorite sports team.
Advice for the Class of ‘25: Go to office hours. Meeting with your professors is crucial for understanding material and building strong relationships that will last beyond your college years. Don't feel obliged to stick to a friend group if you're not happy. You are free to move about and make new friends! Also, attend a variety of clubs; they help you discover your interests and passions, and if you end up not liking a club, that's okay! To end, I want to share a quote from Abraham Lincoln: "Character is like a tree and reputation like a shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing."

Advice for the Class of ‘25: As a first-year student, I wished someone would have told me that everything will be fine. When you first go to a brand new school for the first time, it can be kind of overwhelming, but as soon as you begin spending more time there, meeting new friends, and really getting involved on campus, you realize there is nothing to be afraid of. You will find your place here, and there is something for everyone. I couldn't believe when I began my own orientation as a freshman. The atmosphere was just so welcoming, and it put a smile to my face knowing that people are genuinely excited to have you here as a student. My time at Marist has been truly some of the best years of my entire school career. I have learned so much more, gained new interests, and met such a diverse group of people. Everything is just waiting for you, and you will truly see how amazing everything is.

Advice for the Class of ‘25: One piece of advice I would give to the Class of 2025 is "go with your gut!" We all have a gut feeling when making decisions in life. In college you learn so much about yourself as you go through different stages. Listen to your mind and your body, because a gut feeling is never wrong. If something does not feel right whether that be changing your major to making new friends go with your intuition. I wish I listened to my "gut" when I was a freshman. I could have made my life so much easier. Also, ask for help. In college, we want to feel that sense of independence, but we all need help sometimes. Do not be afraid to utilize the amazing resources we have here at Marist.

Especially for me, I felt out of place and scared of the hundreds of students who seemed like they had it all figured out. The simple phrase “I am here for a reason” helped remind me that Marist saw something special in me and deliberately chose me for what I had to offer. You are special and you have your own strengths that led you to Marist over thousands of applicants. Just stay confident and remember what makes you, you. Your skills, effort, struggles, family, and personality led you to Marist and remembering those things everyday will help you excel.

One of my advisors told me this during my freshman year and since then I have always taken the time to self reflect by trying new things, exploring new paths, meeting new people, etc. My advice for the class of 2025 is to learn about yourself as you continue to grow in this four-year journey.
