Parking at Marist
Registering a Vehicle
For the 2025-26 academic year, student parking application and vehicle registration opens on Monday, Aug. 11.
Click to Register for Parking or Check Vehicle Registration
(you will be prompted for your Marist Account and password)
To support the Marist Shuttle and streamline parking availability, please note the following changes for the 2025–2026 academic year:
- Student Parking Permit Fee: $50 per semester
- Parking Registration Portal Opens: Aug. 11
- Parking passes/decals will only be issued to commuter or resident students who have earned 50 or more academic credits
- Students with a financial hold on their student account will not be able to complete the parking permit application and should contact Student Financial Services via email to studentfiancialservices@marist.edu or by phone at 845-575-3230 for resolution.
These changes reflect a year-long planning effort that included drone surveys, student and staff focus groups, and close collaboration with the Student Government Association.
New Parking Lot Designations
Beginning Fall 2025, student parking permits will be issued based on housing location—East or West Campus—to reduce cross-campus traffic.
- Resident Student Parking: Assigned based on campus housing location
- Commuter Parking: Assigned to East Campus lots (51 Fulton, Beck Place, and Upper West Cedar), which are shuttle-served and offer direct access to academic buildings and west campus facilities
Note: There are no changes to faculty and staff parking lot designations.
Enforcement
Parking policy enforcement begins on the first day of classes. All community members must park in the lot(s) designated by their permit. Signs at lot entrances provide guidance.
Note: There are new parking lot entrance signs. Please pay close attention.
- Fines range from $30 to $100 per violation
- Vehicles with multiple violations will be booted
- Displaying a valid parking decal is required

The following fines will be assessed for violators of the University vehicle and parking policies. Booting will occur on the fifth ticket and every subsequent ticket issued within an academic year. An individual will be considered a "repeat" offender even if all previous fines have been paid.
