Swipe Out Hunger
Swipe Out Hunger is a program designed to provide support to Marist University students who are experiencing food insecurity and educate our campus community about food insecurity.
This program was designed using best practices provided by Swipe Out Hunger, a national nonprofit that supports colleges in developing programs to meet the needs of food-insecure students. To find out more about the organization, visit swipehunger.org.

Frequently Asked Questions
Any Marist student currently enrolled in a degree program who is experiencing food insecurity may apply for this program. Financial need, as demonstrated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and/or CSS Profile application, will be considered in determining final eligibility.
Students can request meal swipes by completing the application linked at the top of the page.
Students can request meal swipes as often as they need, up to 20 swipes per semester. Meal swipes do not carry over between semesters.
Meal swipes are programmed onto the student's ID card and can be used at the Murray Dining Hall. When used, the meal swipes will display as regular meal swipes at the cash register.
Marist students are able to donate guest meal swipes via the Grubhub app throughout each semester. Donated swipes will be distributed to students who apply for meal donations.
Students can donate up to three (3) guest meal swipes per semester or the Den Dollar equivalency.
