Marist is dedicated to providing both an education and work environment that values diversity and is free of discrimination in any form. This goal is embodied in the law, and equally important, in our mission and vision statements, which call for recognizing the dignity of every human being. The Queer and Trans Committee at Marist works to foster the development of an atmosphere of growth and enrichment for all. Our goal is to provide the campus community with education and training to promote the understanding of issues affecting queer and trans individuals.

Marist Ally Network:

The goal of this program is to provide a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender persons by establishing an identifiable network of persons who can provide support, information and a safe place for LGBTQ+ persons within our campus community. Those who have committed to being allies indicate that bigotry and discrimination are not tolerated.
