Faculty-led, Short-term Attachment Program Notes

  • All applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 and sophomore, junior or senior status in order to participate in Marist Abroad. First-Years may be eligible to participate in programs with the approval of the Program Director.  Mid-semester grades will be reviewed in lieu of official GPA.
  • An attachment course can be taken as part of your full-time semester course load (12-16 credits).  Additional charges may apply over 16 credits.
  • Program fees may change due to currency exchange fluctuations, and/or other unanticipated cost changes.
  • Marist Abroad reserves the right to modify or cancel the program, including changes to the itinerary, scheduled visits, program dates, program costs, etc.
  • Marist Abroad will register students for each course/program.  Once confirmed, all program changes (program withdrawals, change in course, etc) must be submitted in writing to Marist Abroad.
  • Round-trip airfare from New York is included in your Program Fee. Marist Abroad will make group flight arrangements; information on the flight schedule will be provided during orientation.
  • A small number of students may elect to arrive earlier or depart later than the group, depending on group reservations and restrictions. Marist Abroad must be notified upon program confirmation of any possible flight deviations. Students arriving before or departing later than the group are responsible for hotel accommodations, meals, etc. until the program start date or after the end date.
  • Conditional admission to programs is on a space-available basis, and students are encouraged to apply early to help secure a spot on the program. If the number of completed applications exceeds the capacity of the program before the deadline the application will be closed, we will contact affected students to discuss their second-choice program or their placement on a waitlist.
  • Students studying abroad in the semester immediately preceding graduation may delay their conferral date.
