Organization and the Environment Department
Organization and the Environment Department
CAROLINE RIDER, Chairperson
The Department of Organization and the Environment represents those areas outside the organization. To that end, our classes include Entrepreneurship, Global Business and Society, Marketing, Business Law, and Strategy.
Global Business and Society fits our mission to prepare students for “the global community of the 21st century.” Marketing students prepare and present marketing plans to both establish real world companies and entrepreneurial startups. Several of the commercials produced by Marketing Principles students can be seen on YouTube. One of the new products designed in this class was the FeedMe/FeedMENot pet dish. Our Business Law classes are taught by practicing attorneys. Strategy encompasses and integrates all of the courses in the business core curriculum; recent projects include: Tesla, Harley-Davidson, L’Oréal, and CostCo.
