Fashion Program
Student Learning Outcomes
Upon graduation, students in the Fashion Design program will be able to:
- Demonstrate innovation and integrate creative thinking throughout the design process.
- Incorporate proficiency in skills, tools, and technology, as they apply to the creation, reproduction and distribution of creative outcomes that relate to the fashion industry.
- Engage in conceptual and critical thinking while integrating research processes applicable to the fashion industry.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills as required in the fashion industry through a variety of professional methods, including visual, oral, and written forms.
- Integrate problem solving abilities: understanding and identifying solutions to areas of impact like sustainability, social justice, diversity, and inclusion in the fashion industry.
Upon graduation, students in the Fashion Merchandising program students will be able to:
- Employ responsible research, and ethical decision-making processes and practices in the fashion industry.
- Implement key components of the various segments of the fashion industry from concept to finished products, products and services, consumer markets and technology.
- Integrate creative, technical, and analytical competencies necessary for careers in fashion merchandising.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills as required in the fashion industry through a variety of professional methods, including visual, oral, and written forms.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills of the fashion industry through reflective experiential learning.
- Incorporate conceptual and critical thinking strategies applicable to the fashion industry.
