Outreach Programs
Student-athletes from Marist will have the opportunity to participate in community outreach programs throughout the academic year. All student-athletes are encouraged to attend one of the several major projects offered each semester, regardless of year and/or sport. These programs are extremely successful and continue to provide Marist student-athletes a way to give back to their community. Many of the outreach programs involve visiting local elementary, middle, and high schools in the area. Topics discussed include sportsmanship, academics, athletics, time-management and dealing with peer pressure. Those student-athletes who have participated in outreach events have experienced the joy and satisfaction one receives from working with the youth in our community.
Any student interested in participating in and/or organizing an outreach activity should contact a staff member in the Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement.
