It is Marist's mission to help first year students develop the intellect, character, skills and sense of community necessary to succeed in college and beyond.
The Office of First Year Experience and Leadership Development uses the timeless principles of ethos, logos and pathos (in concert with St. Marcellin Champagnat's Four Pillars of Learning) as a framework when meeting with students individually and when developing programs that help students in their transition to Marist.
