Win amazing prizes and earn digital badges while developing critical skills that are in hot demand by the world’s largest and most respected companies.
All students welcome! No mainframe experience necessary.
IBM mainframe experts will be on hand to assist students with completing contest tasks.

Master the Mainframe Prizes
Part 1 finishers:
$1 per every person who finishes will be donated to a charitable organization.
Part 2 finishers:
Earn an industry-recognized digital badge and exclusive access to the IBM Z Career Marketplace Community.
Part 2 winners:
The fastest 100 finishers will receive a $150 gift card.
Part 3 finishers:
Earn an industry-recognized digital badge and a Master the Mainframe Part 3 finisher t-shirt.
Part 3 winners:
The top 2 individuals from each region will receive a $2,750 travel stipend.
Grand Prize:
The top 3 individuals globally will receive a $1,000 USD cash educational scholarship.
Students are encouraged to bring their own laptop but may borrow one on-site on a first-come, first-served basis as loaner laptops are limited.
Parents are welcome to escort their child to the NYC Center for the contest and return at the conclusion to pick them up. There will not be any formal programming for parents to participate in.
