September 2, 2025 — As the new academic year begins, Marist welcomes more than two dozen new full-time faculty members, including a new Dean for the School of Communication and the Arts, Dr. Maurice Hall. These educators bring deep expertise across a wide range of disciplines—from medical laboratory science and teacher education to English, crime and justice studies, management, political science, art and digital media, and communication.
Their arrival continues Marist’s tradition of excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring, and reflects the University's commitment to fostering academic vibrancy through research, innovation, and a student-centered approach.

“We’re thrilled to welcome our new faculty joining us for the 2025–26 academic year,” said Dr. Addrain Conyers, Assistant Provost for Faculty Development. “Each brings unique experiences, talents, and passions that will enrich our classrooms and campus community. Their teaching and research will help Marist continue to grow as a place where the liberal arts and professional preparation come together to support our students’ success.”
