Marissa was the Student Communications Director for the 33rd Annual Silver Needle Runway Show and since her time at Marist has worked for household names such as J. Crew, Calvin Klein and currently L’Oreal, where she is the Assistant Manager of Sales Operations for their Luxe Division. Barb is currently a Marist senior majoring in Communications and Public Relations and a minor in Fashion Merchandising. She has been involved with SNR for 3 years now, beginning on the Communications and transitioning to the Branding Team. She is SNR’s second Branding Director, leading her team for SNR36. SNR 36 is very excited to release our SECOND episode of DAYDREAMERS podcast entitled Breaking Through: Gaining Experience in Your Industry. Listen to our host, Julia Mazzella talk about the fashion and journalism industry with Creative Directors Alex Basalo and Kaitlin Chamley and special guest Callie Rasnake.
Callie was the Creative Director of SNR 34 her senior year studying Fashion Merchandising with a concentration in Marketing and PR. She has gained tremendous industry experience through her internships at Sanja Morgan, Hellessy, Pantaloni Torino and Oscar de la Renta. Callie now works at Christian Dior as the Men’s Public Relations Trainee and soon to be assistant.
Kaitlin, our very own creative director, studies Fashion Merchandising here at Marist and has worked in areas such as retail, sales, buying, and social media. After graduation in May, she will be an assistant buyer for Ross Stores.
Ale is our Digital Media Director for SNR 36, as well as the creative director for Marist Circle. Ale studies Journalism and has lots of experience freelancing for very well-known brands.

Pro Tip for breaking into the luxury fashion industry: Applying to luxury fashion has a stigma around it that everyone has to be perfect. Callie’s advice is to be your most authentic self, show your knowledge, and be enthusiastic!

Episode #3: Ups & Downs: Career Wins

SNR36 is beyond excited to announce the release of our THIRD podcast episode titled; Ups & Downs: Career Wins & Lessons Learned. Our host, Julia Mazzella chats with Marist and SNR alum Ashley Camuso and Erica Capobianco.
Ashley, who graduated in 2020, was the communications director of SNR34. Throughout her tenacious career, she has had 8 internships and is now employed at Saks Fifth Avenue as the Specialist in Experiential Learning & Presentation Design. Erica, our SNR 35 Communications Director, graduated last year in 2021. Erica now works for Exposure America as a Fashion, Wine, and Spirits Publicist. She has extensive experience in Editorial and freelance writing for Tiger Beat Magazine and CLOTHES AND WATER. Join these extremely talented women as they chat about the Ups and Downs that come with Careers and how our guests grew in the ups and overcame the downs.

Daydreamers episode 4 is OUT and we are so excited! Titled, Moving Up: A Guide to Promotions and Growth Within a Company, our host, Julia Mazzella, talks with our special guests Olivia Guerriero and Kelly Allen about their experiences within the fashion industry and their advice on how to get your DREAM promotion.
Olivia, who graduated in 2018, and has worked for Louis Vuitton for 4 years, is now the Digital Merchandising Special. Throughout her time at Marist, she interned at established companies such as Tory Burch, Ralph Lauren, and Club Monaco.
Julia also talks with Kelly Allen, our very own Social Media and Website Director of SNR36. Kelly is a Senior Fashion Merchandising student who has been interning with LoveShackFancy ever since Summer 2021.

PRO TIP: Gen Z and Millenials have a certain perspective on the industry that managers and executives do not, use that to your advantage, but don’t always chase the title, reach for the experiences and responsibilities before!

Episode #5: Choosing Your Career Path: Practicality vs. Passion
Guests: Sophia DiMiceli, Hannah Hawxhurst and Annie Major
Our host, Julia Mazzella chats with Production Directors Sophia DiMiceli and Hannah Hawxhurst and special guest Annie Major.
Annie, who graduated in 2014, was the Creative Director of SNR28. She has had an incredible career in the fashion industry so far, with roles at fashion houses Oscar de la Renta and Celine under her belt. Annie now works as the Head of VIP, North & South America at Saint Laurent.
Hannah, one of our production directors this year,studies fashion merchandising and advertising here at Marist. She interned at Haddad Brands last summer and secured a position at their New York City location post grad!
Sophia, one of this year’s production directors, studies fashion merchandising and communications. Growing up surrounded by family in fashion, she knew from a young age that she wanted to work in the fashion industry. She will also be working at Haddad Brands in New York City post grad!
PRO TIP for breaking into the luxury fashion industry: Luxury fashion jobs may seem untouchable, but it’s not. Annie’s advice is to stayed focused on that area and network with luxury fashion professionals!
