International Federation of Red Cross

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. Founded in 1919, the IFRC vision continues to inspire, encourage, facilitate and promote at all times all forms of humanitarian activities by National Societies, with a view of preventing and alleviating human suffering and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world.

The IFRC carries out relief operations to assist victims of disasters and combines this with development work to strengthen the capacities of its member National Societies. The IFRC's work focuses on four core areas: promoting humanitarian values, disaster response, disaster preparedness, and health and community care.

As a way of saying "thank you" to the many volunteers and employees of the International Federation of Red Cross, Marist College is offering special tuition pricing to them as well as their immediate adult family members.

Special Tuition Pricing

International Federation of Red Cross employees, volunteers, and their immediate adult family members will receive the following benefits:

  • A tuition discount on eligible graduate and adult undergraduate degree programs. For our complete list of eligible programs and discounted pricing visit our eligible programs and pricing page.

The online programs eligible for this discount are listed below. Tuition discounts exclude any graduate or undergraduate degree and certificate programs that are already discounted. The Masters of Education, MS in Physicians Assistant Studies, MA in Educational Psychology (summer hybrid only), BS in Integrative Studies (OLC), and the weekend Paralegal degree programs are not eligible for the partnership discount. For all new degree and certificate programs, Marist will determine partnership discount eligibility at the time of release. Please contact the Graduate Admission Office for more information about eligible programs, pricing and additional benefits you may be eligible for. Books, fees, and all related expenses are the responsibility of the student. These reduced tuition rates are not retroactive and cannot be paired with any other Marist College discounts or scholarships.
Eligibility

International Federation of Red Cross volunteers, employees, and their immediate adult family members must show proof of active volunteer service or employment in order to qualify for the partnership tuition rate.

Adult undergraduate students are defined as students who began their Marist academic career at age 22 or older and who are applying through the office of Adult Undergraduate Admission. Graduate students are those students who are initiating an application for a stand-alone masters degree through the Office of Graduate Admission.

Final determination of eligibility is made by Marist College.
