About Our Organization

Amnesty International advocates for human rights in the United States and worldwide. Issues we work on include: refugee and migrant rights, ending gun violence, climate justice, gender and sexuality justice, indigenous rights, racial justice, abolishing the death penalty, technology and human rights, and freeing prisoners of conscience.

We participate in three major mobilizations each year: Banned Books Week, Write For Rights, and the National Week of Student Action. We also attend regional and national conferences, join local demonstrations, and host a variety of other events. We respond rapidly to human rights crises by taking urgent action.

We celebrate inclusivity and welcome all students to join. If you are interested in becoming a human rights activist, we hope to see you at our next meeting. There are many leadership opportunities within our group. If you are interested, please reach out!
