About Our Organization:

After capturing the NY Metro Conference Championship, the Marist Club Men’s Lacrosse Team earned an invitation to the NCLL National Tournament, held annually in Annapolis, Maryland, and hosted by the Navy Club Lacrosse Team. The tournament takes place each year in May, featuring the top eight teams from across the country competing for the National Championship Trophy. Marist has proudly qualified for Nationals in 2022, 2024, and 2025, and the team continues to set its sights on bringing home the title in the upcoming season.
Meet the Executive Board:
President: Dan O’Doherty ‘26
- Dan is business and entrepreneurship major from Sayville, New York. He is a two-way midfielder that can dominate on both sides of the field. Dan finished last year in the top 5 in Division 2 assist leaders for the National tournament.
Vice-President: Tim Erickson ‘28
- Tim is a finance major with an accounting minor from South Side, New York. Tim is an attackmen on offense.
Treasurer: Carter Rowley ‘26
- Carter is out of Dover, New Hampshire and is an economics major with a political science minor. Carter has been a defensive mastermind since freshman year.
Secretary: Sam Shamsey ‘26
- Sam is from Princeton, New Jersey is a communications and advertising major. Sam has been our starting LSM since freshman year and is everywhere on the faceoff wing.
Join the Team:
The club is excited to welcome new players each year to the Marist Men’s Club Lacrosse Team. The program continues to grow stronger with every season, and as a result, roster spots have become increasingly competitive. Prospective players are evaluated not only on lacrosse skills and athletic ability, but also on their teamwork, commitment, academic standing, and overall contribution to a positive team culture.

Practice Schedule:
The Marist Men’s Club Lacrosse Team typically practices two times per week for approximately two hours per session. Attendance at all practices, games, and team events is mandatory. Players are expected to continually develop their skills, maintain good academic standing, and uphold the values of teamwork and dedication throughout the season.
If you make the team, you are committing to participating for the entire academic year (September – May) as a member of a competitive and tight-knit group representing Marist University at the intercollegiate level.
Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities
To earn one (1) point: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.
To earn two (2) points: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.
To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
