About Our Organization
Marist Fox Pride is organized and operated for educational and social purposes in order to promote an increased knowledge and greater interest in diversity on the Marist College campus along with providing a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community and its allies. Marist Fox Pride serves students at Marist College and other interested persons in the Marist community.
Club Leadership
President: Victoria Cardone (they/she)
- Responsible for ensuring that club events run smoothly, officers complete their duties in a timely manner, and resolving any official matters relating to the club.
Vice President: Quinn Bender (he/it)
- Responsible for administrative outreach, taking on the president’s tasks when they are unavailable, and any residual responsibilities from the other board members.
Secretary: Cara Stefanik (they/them)
- Responsible for the email account associated with Marist Fox Pride, recording attendance on Club Dash for club meetings, and creating the semester’s priority point allocation.
Treasurer: Abigail Storing (she/her)
- Responsible for all budgetary concerns, including all club purchases, reimbursements, and allocation of club resources.
Event Coordinator: Abel Scholl (they/them)
- Responsible for event planning, preparation, setup, and takedown, especially for Lavender Ball, Fox Pride’s largest social event every Spring.
P.R. Rep: Pluto Raja (they/them)
- Responsible for creating any promotions for events. This includes Instagram posts, Instagram stories, on-campus posters, and any other promotional material.
First Year Rep: Rhea Jockimo (she/her)
- Responsible for communicating with first years within Fox Pride, and addressing any questions, concerns, or ideas they may have for the club.
Meeting Times
Fall Friendship Bracelets: Thursday, November 7th @ 9:30 PM in River Room 3105
Use string, beads, and charms to make your own friendship bracelets. Feel free to bring your own materials or use ours!
Karaoke/Open-Mic Night: Wednesday, November 13th @ 9:30 PM in River Room 3105
Join us for a night of singing, dancing, and performing. Come show off your talents or cheer on your friends.
PJ Movie Night: Thursday, November 21st @ 9:30 PM in River Room 3105
Come for a relaxing movie night with hot chocolate and tea. Wear your pajamas and bring your blankets for a cozy night before finals!
Lavender Ball: Saturday, March 29th @ 7:45 PM in River Room 3102, 3103, 3104, & 3105
Theme: Moonlit Masquerade
Our annual Lavender Ball is a night of celebrating the LGBTQ+ community not just on Marist campus, but as a whole, through a night of festivities! Join us for dancing, food, games, and all-out fun! All proceeds from ticket sales are donated to the Dutchess County Pride Center located in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities
To earn one (1) point: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.
To earn two (2) points: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.
To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
