MCTV or Marist Club Television is a group focused on filming and having fun. We have a total of five shows we film and plan for over a rotating biweekly schedule. The shows we currently run include Quiz Show, Studio A, Halftime on the Hudson, News, and our newest show False Advertising.
Quiz Show is a trivia game show with three contestants trying to outsmart one another and gain the most points. There are buzzer rounds, typical rounds, and wager rounds. If you’re feeling up to the task, you can even write some of the questions!
Studio A is a comedy show with scripted bits, live bits, an interview, and biweekly update, a spin off of SNL’s weekend update. Come join our live studio audience and laugh along or help come up with ideas in the writers room.
Halftime on the Hudson is MCTV’s sports commentary show with debate segments like Prove Your Point. The goal of the show is to have fun talking about sports, leading up to the culminating big event: The Annual NFL Mock Draft.
News, as the name implies, is focused on current events. We have a national and local reporter at the desk and three off the desk reporters for Science, Sports, and Entertainment. If you’re interested in journalism and news, this is the show for you!
False Advertising is a sitcom focused on Victoria False (pronounced falls) who started an advertising company with her friends from college after being unable to land a job right out of college. Follow the office’s adventures and hijinks while filming or writing an episode or two.
MCTV does not require any member to have any former knowledge or skills. We teach all new members the positions that they want to learn and encourage everyone to try any and all positions available including camera operator, audio, teleprompter, switcher, graphics, on screen talent and more.

Meeting Times
Our meetings happen Monday through Wednesday along with every other Sunday and shift every week. All writers rooms happen in the MCTV office in the basement of LT while all filming happens in Studio on the second floor of LT.

To earn one (1) point:Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.
To earn two (2) points:Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.
To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
