About Our Organization

The Muslim Student Association (MSA) is a welcoming community that brings together students who practice Islam while creating opportunities for the broader campus community to learn about and celebrate Muslim faith and culture. Through faith, community, collaboration, and cultural appreciation, MSA gives students a space to connect, build friendships, and feel a sense of belonging on campus. Throughout the year, we host a variety of social, cultural, and faith-based activities, including Iftar Night during Ramadan, trivia and game nights, cultural potlucks, and other community-building events. We also hope to collaborate with organizations such as Asian Alliance and other cultural clubs to celebrate the diverse backgrounds represented across our campus. MSA welcomes anyone interested in building community, learning about Islam and Muslim cultures, or simply connecting with others.

Club Leadership

President: Asibora Sadrijaj and Nabila Sultana

• Works alongside eachtoher to lead MSA, oversee club operations, organize meetings and events, support Executive Board members, and serve as a primary representative of MSA on campus. Helps ensure that MSA's activities reflect its mission of faith, community, culture, and inclusion. Helps coordinate collaborations with other student organizations and ensures that the club's goals and initiatives are carried out throughout the year.

Secretary: Fowzan Ulhaq

• Maintains MSA meeting notes and important club records, assists with communication between Executive Board members and general members, and helps keep the organization informed about upcoming meetings, events, and responsibilities. Also sends emails to club members about events and meetings.

Event Coordinator: Amina Orzueva

• Plans and coordinates MSA's social, cultural, and faith-based events throughout the year. Works with the Executive Board to develop event ideas, organize event logistics, and coordinate collaborations with other clubs and organizations. Takes on the responsibility of booking a room through MaristGroups.

Treasurer: Fardeen Shafeen

• Manages MSA's budget and finances, keeps track of club spending, assists with funding requests and purchases, and works with the Executive Board to ensure funds are appropriately allocated for events and activities.

Social Media Coordinator: Tehreem Hasan

• Manages MSA's social media presence and helps promote meetings, events, and club initiatives. Creates and shares engaging content, event announcements, and reminders while helping MSA connect with current and prospective members online. Creates flyers and communicates with the E-board, especially the secretary, to distribute them.

Earn Priority Points through Clubs and Activities

To earn one (1) point: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 50% of club/organization activities.

To earn two (2) points: Members must attend a minimum of 50% of club/organization meetings for the semester and 75% of club/organization activities PLUS the community service event.

To earn three (3) points (executive board only): Officers must attend 50% of club meetings for the semester and 100% of club activities including community service. If executive board members do not complete all of the requirements to earn three points, they will be eligible to receive up to two points based on the above criteria.
