About Our Club

The Marist Club Men’s Basketball Team is a newly established club sports team who will be playing their inaugural season in the National Club Basketball Association (NCBBA) in the 2026-2027 academic year. While the NCBBA restructures their conferences each September, we will likely be competing in the North American Region - East Conference. In the 2025-2026 season, teams in this conference ranged from schools in Connecticut(Yale, Fairfield, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac), to schools around NYC(Manhattan, Iona), to schools on Long Island (Hofstra, Adelphi). While our main goal as a team will be to win, we are also striving to create a very close community of basketball players who don’t want the commitment of collegiate varsity basketball but would like to play at a more competitive level than intramurals.

Executive Board Members:

•    President: Sean Cronin
•    Vice-President: Giacomo Jacobs
•    Treasurer: Alexander Kazanjian
•    Secretary: Ethan Sou

Join the Team

Tryouts will be held in the first few weeks of the fall semester, as well as a quick tryout in the spring semester to fill in for lost players. Any student enrolled at Marist University are welcomed to try out. The official construction of the roster will be based on each player’s combination of skill, effort, fit, and availability, as well as holding good academic standing and a willingness to put the team’s needs before their individual wants. Please email mensbasketball.club@marist.edu to ask any questions about our team.

Meeting Times

The Marist Club Men's Basketball team practices 2-3 days per week, with practices occurring in the McCann Center Rec Gym and McCann Center Arena.
